Content & DM Specialist [Part-Time]
Are you a skilled writer who enjoys working with and learning from small to medium-sized businesses? This is a remote position for someone based in Texas or Colorado, with a 4-day work week that involves writing copy for websites and digital marketing campaigns for various clients in service-based industries.
Armada Digital is a digital marketing agency with a team presence in Texas, Colorado, and Illinois. We partner with businesses in the services and trades industries to build their website and drive leads. The majority of our communication may be virtual, but we maintain a strong sense of community (and sense of humor). We’re looking for a candidate who is passionate about grammar and wants to learn more about executing digital marketing strategies. This is currently a part-time position at $30/hr with potential for full-time employment with benefits.
Primary Responsibilities
- Copywriting – We’re looking for someone with a strong writing background, whether that be academic, blogging, fiction, or copywriting. At Armada, while all content generated (by humans, not AI) will need to follow best practices when it comes to search engine optimization, we approach SEO as a science and an art, and value content that people actually enjoy reading.
- Project Management – Copywriting is one component of our Platform-SEO Program and ongoing Digital Marketing offerings. While you won’t be the sole project manager, this position does require you to meet deadlines and consistently communicate with the team and client to ensure we have what we need to deliver a seamless experience and a finished product that meets expectations.
- Client Management – This position includes regular client meetings and we encourage you to bring your personality to work! While every call has a clear agenda, we’re looking for someone excellent at engaging different personality types, who understands how to adapt our process to the client, and always follows through.
- An Action-Taker with Attention to Detail – Before a website is launched or a blog post is published, it goes through a review process. We expect everyone on our team to check links and provide their feedback. We’d much rather a flag be raised internally than wait for a urgent client email. Are you a person who notices things?
Experience
- Strong writing skills and experience with long-form content creation. A background in digital marketing, communications, or journalism is ideal.
- A willingness to engage and share ideas internally and confidence in client-facing situations.
- History of editing or reviewing team members’ work and providing feedback in a constructive and timely manner.
- Basic understanding of search engine optimization and how it relates to long-form content a plus.
- Experience with WordPress backend and pagebuilder like DIVI or Elementor a plus.
What You Will Learn
- How to write in a way that converts users and maximizes SEO results.
- How to flow in content to a WordPress website, built on a custom DIVI theme.
- Project management tools such as Basecamp and the skills to help ensure deliverables are on budget and on time.
- How to interface with clients and communicate effectively with different personality types.
